Kirkland Acupuncture Manages Pain, Restores Balance & Promotes Healing

Kirkland Acupuncture can help manage pain and promote healing. If you live with chronic back pain, neck pain and headaches, you may be frustrated with traditional treatments. Standard medical treatments typically rely on medications to cover up your pain, and do little to address the underlying cause of your discomfort. Kirkland Chiropractor Dr. William Marson has been treating pain patients at Health Quest Chiropractic and Wellness Center for over 16 years. His whole body approach to pain management utilizes conservative, non-invasive treatments to not only relieve pain, but to also treat the underlying cause and prevent future injury. Kirkland acupuncture is an important part of Dr. Marson’s whole body approach.  With this philosophy and experience he chooses to have in-house acupuncture therapy available for his patients.

Acupuncture Treatment Relieves Chronic Pain

Acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medical therapy that is used widely around the world. It works with the natural energies inherent within the human body to promote the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Energy circulates throughout the body along well-defined pathways (meridians), and disease is considered to arise when the energy circulation is disrupted. Acupuncture points along the meridians are stimulated to promote the proper circulation of energy, which influences the health of the entire being.

The World Health Organization recommended the use of acupuncture to treat a variety of commonly encountered clinical diseases. In fact, the National Institute of Health concluded that acupuncture therapy is effective for relief of certain pains, and may be useful as an adjunct treatment for a number of diseases.

Modern medical research has shown that acupuncture works via the complex central and peripheral neuro-hormonal network. Acupuncture alters the secretion of neurotransmitters and hormones, and regulates blood flow, both centrally and peripherally.  It is generally believed that acupuncture works with a person's internal pharmacy to promote the body to heal itself.

Kirkland acupuncture therapy is an important part of whole body wellness program at Health Quest Chiropractic and Wellness Center. Combined with chiropractor treatments, massage therapy, acupuncture can relieve neck pain and low back pain, headache, fibromyalgia, and many other conditions.

A typical treatment with Dr. Lori Jin, begins with an initial consultation, so she can tailor treatment to your specific lifestyle, pain symptoms and behavior, and a treatment session last approximately 45-60 minutes.  Acupuncture needles (sterilized) are very fine, about the diameter of a thick hair. Dr. Jin’s needling technique is very gentle, and her clients usually do not feel anything more than the feeling of a small mosquito bite. Most patients find the treatments comfortable and very relaxing. Depending on your health, we may recommend combining treatment sessions with massage therapy and chiropractic care.

If you’re not familiar with acupuncture, or if you’re not sure if this treatment is right for you, we invite you to visit our Kirkland office at 425-820-2773 (or call Lori directly at 206-979-3149) for a consultation. We are always happy to take the time to discuss your concerns with you.
